In the quest of raising voices for Madheshi peoples’ political ,economical, social and cultural rights with recognition of their identity, proportional representation ‘Madheshi Janadhikar Forum, Nepal was formed in 1998 (B.S. 2054) under the leadership of Upendra Yadav. The main goal is to eliminate all forms of discrimination,  to struggle for liberty, equality,  fraternity,  secularism, social justice and fundamental  human rights. To achieve the goal, main objectives are as follows:
  • To eliminate all forms of discriminations,  inequalities and injustices , deprivation, suppression and exploitation imposed  on Madheshi people.   Official       recognition and development of language, literature, art and culture of Madheshi people.
  • To struggle for the fundamental human rights of the people.
  • To struggle for elimination internal colonization and decolonization by establishing federalism in Nepal assuring rights of self-determination with recognition of Madhesh as an autonomous province.
  • To struggle for equality, liberty and to establish a democratic and equitable society by eliminating all discriminations based on caste, color, language, religion, region, occupation, gender, class, ethnic origin culture and community.
  • To struggle for citizenship rights  without any discrimination.
  • To struggle for recognition of the languages as an  official language.
  •  To struggle for recognition of the national identity of Madheshi people and to establish Madheshi Military regiment.
  • To struggle for discouraging encroachment of Madhesh land in the name of settlement of landless people or resettle of the highly uprooted people.
  • To struggle for proportional representation of Madheshi people in Civil service, Police and Army, nongovernmental and semi governmental organizations without any discrimination.
  • To Struggle for the social, economical upliftment of socially backward classes and economically  most disadvantaged people, caste, Ethnic group and women by providing them education, healthcare, income generation opportunities, having special provisions or reservations for employment.
  • To remain active to preserve and protect  the ecology and biodiversity of Madhesh.
  • To Struggle for education in native languages or their mother tongue and to have curriculum education materials, teachers’ training for the same.
  • To struggle for the publication of the gazettes, information, and constitution, in Madheshi language. To advocate for establishing press, school, theatres, clubs, exhibition centre’s along with educational and cultural training.
  • To struggle for social, economical and political justice for the people of Nepal.
  • To struggle and advocate for national integration.
  • To support, co-operate and show unanimity for the justful struggle of exploited, suppressed, marginalized caste, ethnic groups, tribes and women.
  • To support struggle for liberation movement and against racial discrimination and colonial exploitation by the people of the any parts of the world.
  • To support and express solidarity for struggle against caste, color, religions, gender discrimination.
  • To develop relationship with any national/international governmental, non-governmental and human rights institutions , democratic and progressive forces for mutual friendship and co-operation.
